Charles has a strong background in employment relations and HR having worked for various law firms and industry bodies over the last 15 years. With a particular interest in corporate governance, Charles has also advised a wide variety of clients on appropriate strategies for managing employment law related risks faced by boardroom members.
In addition to advising clients, Charles has had a high level of success advocating for clients in workplace litigation before various Federal and State courts. Such matters include breach of contracts, employee terminations, health and safety prosecutions and advocacy for ‘whole of industry’ issues. He regularly appears before the Fair Work Commission and has successfully defended companies before the Full Bench of the Commission.
