Interestingly, coincidingly, we are seeing ‘tree change’ conversations increasing.
There is this Practitioner (name removed for privacy reasons, but you know who you are) that of late, has left his amazing office in the CBD to live and work on his farm, some 3.5hrs drive from the head office. Rotating every fortnight between the two locations, strong leadership in place, good core internal culture, a kaizen approach and with no doubt, thanks to the technology boom we have had in the past 10years, it works.
Have you dreamt about a tree change?
Maybe you are from the country or the coast and are currently sitting in a major city pondering your future, yearning to move back, dreaming of getting you pilot’s license and becoming a flying Accountant – many do… or maybe, you are like the practitioner above, city born and raised, who wants open space, cow dung and a different pace.
For your information, many Rural / Regional firms are looking for staff. From juniors to managers, even partners and ex-principals. They are constantly asking if we know anyone up for a journey or looking to just head home.
CBD and Rural / Regional firms joining forces or an internal growth focus towards either direction has been around for a long time. Covid-19 has just reminded us of the option, and we wanted to remind you, the Accountancy community, that there are many open arms waiting to say hello. It doesn’t have to be a pipe-dream – go on, get to it.
Always happy to talk.
Stay safe!
