We have been asked what clever practice management tools are used by small to medium firms? Is there something you have sourced and use which makes a significant difference to the management and marketing of your practice? I know some firms use their software practice management reports of Time Charged, WIP, and Billings, but have heard of firms using other techniques. Often a weekly management meeting is used to review what all members of a team have to do and to rearrange priorities. Then there is the firm which uses “Daily Huddles”. Another firm has a rule that all staff below manager level are limited to only five open jobs at any one time. Beyond that, they must finish one job before starting another. It is said to help increase workflow. Some firms pay bonuses for staff members introduced and recruited, also for clients introduced.
Do you have something equally clever to help you manage your firm?
