Motivating Younger Staff
Have you discovered the techniques to encourage your young people to positively engage with the work they do, the clients and the firm?
Clearly part of the answer is to hire people with the right attitude at the beginning. There is no doubt some people should never work inside an accounting firm, they lack the sense of responsibility, care and attention to detail.
Maybe you supply all your young staff with iPads, is that appreciated, does that help? Do young staff enjoy firm social activities, I have heard of instances where, if they are scheduled for a Saturday, some staff refuse to go.
