He joins from NAB’s Global Institutional Bank where he was a wealth director and most recently a senior manager for the bank’s corporate superannuation business.
Commenting on his role consulting role with Stockspot, Mortlock said:
“When I first heard about robo-advice and Stockspot I realised it is where the future of investing and portfolio management is heading. I very much want to be a part of that.
“Chris and the Stockspot team have created a fantastic investment experience that is transparent, low-fee and unbiased. It’s the type of service that should appeal to accountants or advisers who want to help their clients access long-term sensible investing without the high-fees and burden of providing investment advice themselves.”
Chris Brycki, CEO and Founder of Stockspot said:
“To have someone of Stirling’s calibre join us to develop Stockspot’s partnership strategy is huge credit to our team and what they’ve built so far.
“B2B partnerships is a new area for Stockspot and we expect a growing number of accountants and advisers to embrace robo advice as technology continues to transform the financial services industry.
“Stirling’s experience in corporate wealth and superannuation gives him deep insight into the issues facing advisers and accountants around compliance and the provision of personal advice. Stockspot is able to help ensure accountants and advisers are providing their clients with the best possible investment advice and experience.”
Stirling will be presenting at Class Super’s Annual Connect Conference on Thursday 27 July, 2017.
Stockspot launched its Partner Program in early 2017, it is fully integrated with Class Super for SMSFs. The Partner Program allows accountants and advisers to gain access to Australia’s largest robo adviser and make the investment service available to their clients.
